Ad Hoc Secure File Sharing
Manually share files securely and easily
Ad hoc file sharing is the manual transfer of digital files from person to person through email, instant messaging or file sharing apps. Virtually all businesses rely on ad hoc file attachments to exchange information with customers and partners, but standard ad hoc tools cause business issues such as file size limits, no visibility of sent files and a lack of data security.
To address these issues, ad hoc file sharing solutions were developed. Enterprise-level ad hoc file transfer services enable employees to email large files and add advanced security features such as encryption, tracking of every action, download expiration and notifications.
Ad Hoc File Transfer for Business Users
Thru ensures protected ad hoc file exchange by managing user access to a secure cloud via multiple integration points with productivity applications. Users easily share files of any size or type through web portals, email add-ins and CRM connectors.
Thru tracks all sender and recipient file activity which is available for data analysis in a web-based dashboard. At a very granular level, users can select which email notifications to receive on file activity in each folder. This is especially useful when a folder and its files are shared among multiple users.
Share Files in Emails
Users easily upload files by dragging and dropping them in the web-based portal or Microsoft Outlook side panel. Deep integration with Microsoft Office 365 APIs allows users to attach and send files—and even folders—to emails while working in Outlook. Our Salesforce integration allows distribution of file attachments in familiar email forms.
Monitor Ad Hoc File Sharing
Our Microsoft and Salesforce integrations provide additional security layers and monitoring capabilities of file transfers. Administrators can control user access and permissions. Data on the recipient side is protected with authentication and a secure message capability. Users are notified on file delivery events and activities can be recorded in the CRM.
