We are pleased to announce that Thru Inc has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type I certification audit, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to data security and customer trust. This milestone validates that our secure file transfer solutions meet the rigorous security and availability standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

What Is SOC 2 Type I Certification?

SOC 2 Type I certification is a widely recognized security framework that evaluates a company’s controls and processes related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. The Type I report verifies that our security controls are suitably designed and implemented as of a specific point in time.

What This Means for Our Customers

This certification provides our customers with

  • Independent validation of our security controls and practices
  • Assurance that we follow industry-standard security protocols
  • Confidence in our commitment to protecting sensitive data
  • Evidence of our mature security program for compliance requirements

Looking Ahead

As part of our continuous commitment to security excellence, we are already preparing for our SOC 2 Type II certification, planned for early 2025. While Type I certification confirms our controls are properly designed, Type II will validate their operational effectiveness over an extended period.

Our Security Commitment

Since our founding in 2002, Thru has prioritized the security of our customers’ data. This SOC 2 Type I certification is another step in our ongoing journey to provide the most secure and reliable managed file transfer solutions in the industry.

“This certification demonstrates our unwavering commitment to protecting our customers’ data,” says Steven King, Chief Architect at Thru, Inc. “As organizations face increasing security challenges, they can trust that Thru’s solutions meet the highest security standards in the industry.”
